None of this could have been achieved without our lovely builders:

Mark, Mike, Sid, Al and Fred

Monday, 26 January 2009

Mike, Al and Fred arrived this morning bringing with them the new staircase to replace the existing stairs up to the loft. They also brought more timber. The staircase will be installed later this week.

The last of the laths were fixed onto the roof this morning.

More studding and boarding in the loft has been done today:

Mark and Sid arrived late this afternoon with a trailer load of slates for the outside walls of the dormer and the roof.

It's been a beautiful day today and Paul took this view of the estuary from the scaffolding at the rear of the house.

Hi Sandra! Nice to hear from you. I'm not sure who was on the roof today but they had a lovely day for it! When I went over they were all working inside the loft.

If I were you I'd be missing his lovely food too. Paul's hoping for a bacon butty some time this week after just missing out on Friday!

Hope you've got a cat or a teddy bear to cuddle while he's away!

Wow, what a beautiful view! can't believe how quickly you seem to be progressing - you'll be on the fun bit soon (choosing colours, carpets etc)!

Wow, I know that place! :-) My favourite seaside place when I was small - my Mum was born in Dolgellau, and we used to visit twice a year until my Grandparents moved when I was 12. It's ages since we last went to Dolgellau, we're hoping to get there sometime in the next few months.
