The big day is here and Captain Cute and his Hunky Army arrived this morning. Mark, Mike, Danny and Sid. And how well organised are they - they've brought cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, pots, pans and washing up liquid, toilet rolls, patio table and chairs, beds and plenty of food. They're cooking roast duck tonight! They're camping out at the house and are certainly doing it in style. They've even brought a TV and Freeview box for the evenings.
Can't believe how much they've achieved today. Stripped out most of the loft - walls, ceiling, en-suite; removed bedroom ceiling; removed fireplace from lounge. The skip arrived this afternoon (much to the annoyance of a nearby neighbour but Paul smoothed things over) so all the rubble has been loaded into it. I think they've earned their roast duck and will probably go for a pint later.
This is a picture of the bedroom, ceiling removed and loft rubble from above:

Now you see it, now you don't:

All set up ready for tonight:

The flue extension for the boiler arrived this afternoon so Steve was able to finish off the installation and we now have hot water and central heating!
